Hello, music lovers.
It's Winanda once again with her entry for the Vibes Web3 Music Competition Week 34, hoping to inspire you with her voice and words coupled in this performance to pass a message to those who would connect to this song.
"What Hurts The Most" by Cascada is one song I loved singing years ago, (like a decade now), and recently it popped into my head, at that moment, I neither could remember the title nor the artist, then I asked one of my siblings and with a few lyrics we could remember, my best digital friend (Google) revealed it to us.
It's funny how you could love a song without carefully listening to the lyrics, and this song from Cascada is one of those for me. I didn't pay attention to the lyrics those days, but kept humming, singing and loving the rhythm.
This time, it happened to connect with the stories shared with me and the investigations of some experiences, and I hope these people will see this post and be strengthened, and others, have a change of heart and end the deceit.
Lyrics and stories like these made me tweak and switch things up, to suit and strengthen the hearts of those who they will resonate with by changing the lyrics of Verse 2, which I enjoyed doing.
We had friends (so we thought) who had betrayed us, used their power and authority to affect us negatively, but it's all in their head, so you need to know that you are greater than that and focus on what lies ahead.
When you notice that they have found your weakness, it's your time to make it your strength. They will find out they didn't have control of you because you had the cards; they only had a snippet of who you are and have no idea of your plans.
It's okay to feel hurt (because you're human) when you genuinely cared for others who didn't appreciate it, but because of their habit of deceit and the frustrations they faced, they unleash on you and others they come across.
So, what happens after being hurt? You don't remain there, no, you don't, you move on to face what lies ahead of you and be strengthened for more challenges you're likely to face.
A Short Dream
Recently, I had a dream where I was educating and counselling some ladies, it looked like a university environment but in a small hall with ladies with soft hearts and have been heartbroken and betrayed, who need a switch of mindset to create a safe space for their mental health, to nurture their true self and life out their dreams.
I had a session with a few of them, and when I was through with the last one (she seemed to be the youngest), and about to leave her sight, she held onto my hand, she never wanted me to leave.
Then I noticed a woman who sat beside me who said, "That's what you want, you want to take my daughter away from me". Wow! I was surprised at that statement, but yeah, I turned and said, "I have no intention of taking your daughter away from you, she needed to hear what I just told her because she has a great future ahead and needs to move on."
And the woman was calm and relieved, and I told the lady that she would be fine.
Yeah, this case is for the ladies. I know you're tempted to say men also face such. Well, I guess not as much as the opposite sex, but also a message for you here.
I'm grateful to be in this wonderful community with our amazing judges, @lordbutterfly, who came up with the initiative of the Vibes community, @silentscreamer, @verbal-d and other sponsors behind this great project and to have met and connected with some amazing artists as well.
I hope you enjoy my performance, feel the positive vibes and emotions as well as the message the song brings. Please leave me your thoughts about my performance. I would love to hear from you.
Hugs and much love. 🤗 ❤️

"WHAT HURTS THE MOST" LYRICS
[Verse 1]
I can take the rain on the roof of this empty house
That don't bother me
I can take a few tears now and then and just let 'em out
I'm not afraid to cry every once in a while
Even though goin' on with you gone still upsets me
There are days every now and again I pretend I'm okay
But that's not what gets me
[Chorus]
What hurts the most was being so close
And having so much to say (Much to say)
And watching you walk away (Walk away)
Never knowing what could have been
And not seeing that loving you
Is what I was trying to do
[Verse 2]
It's not hard to deal, there's no pain of losing you, cause you never knew
It was all a plan
It's not hard to force anything cause I'm happy and free, doing my thing
Still harder getting up, for some, living with the regret
But I know, if I could do it over
I would spell, tell you all that I observed that I saved in my heart
That I left unspoken
