The calm before the celebration.
There’s a unique magic in those quiet moments right before a wedding, where the air feels thick with emotion and expectation. In this series, I had the chance to photograph a stunning bride as she got ready — a woman with eyes that tell stories, surrounded by brushes, hairspray, and the loving hands that helped her shine even more.
La calma antes de la rumba.
Hay algo mágico en esos instantes previos a una boda, donde todo se siente más intenso y lleno de emoción. En esta serie me tocó retratar a una novia bellísima, de esas con unos ojos que lo dicen todo, mientras la maquillaban y la peinaban con cariño. Unos momentos íntimos, llenos de detalles que muchas veces se pierden entre el corre-corre del gran día.
It’s in the little things — the stroke of a brush, a loose strand of hair being tucked away, a deep breath before the big moment.
Photos like these remind me that weddings don’t just happen at the altar; they start here, in front of a mirror, where the transformation begins and the heart prepares.
Son los pequeños gestos — el movimiento del pincel, un mechón que se acomoda, una respiración honda para calmar los nervios.
Este tipo de fotos me recuerdan que las bodas no empiezan en el altar, sino aquí, frente al espejo, cuando comienza la transformación y el corazón se alista para decir “sí, acepto”.
