I'm not a big fan of ranged cards, but when I need to use them in battle, Syrenth is one of my favorite choices.

Syrenth will be a great choice for battles because it has a strong attack and a large amount of life, but what makes Syrenth a great ally in the Going to the Distance rule are its abilities.

In total, Syrenth has 4 abilities and they are: Taunt, Dodge, Return Fire and Stun.

The Taunt ability makes Syrenth the main target of enemy monsters' attacks, but there are exceptions such as monsters with the Scattershot ability since they will attack randomly.

The Dodge ability increases Syrenth's chances of dodging melee and ranged attacks by +25%. Since monsters with melee and ranged attacks are very common in battles, this ability will be of great help and since in the Going to the Distance rule only monsters with ranged attacks can be used, the Dodge ability will be even more useful.

The Return Fire ability makes Syrenth deal part of the ranged damage received back to the monster that caused damage with this type of attack. Basically, if a monster with a ranged attack attacks Syrenth, then 50% of the damage that this monster causes will be dealt to it as physical damage.

The Stun ability gives Syrenth a 50% chance of applying Stunned for 1 round to the monster she hits with the attack. Stunned monsters cannot attack or use any abilities.

I love monsters that have the Taunt ability because I can combine them using monsters that have healing abilities like the Triage ability. So I just need to put Syrenth in the backline along with 1 or 2 monsters that have the Triage ability and she will be an incredible defense in battles, especially in battles with the Going to the Distance rule and if the Reverse Speed rule exists then Syrenth will be even more incredible because her chances of dodging attacks will be very high since she has little speed.

One of my main goals in Splinterlands is to level up all of my current reward cards to max level because there are so many useful and powerful cards like Syrenth.

It probably won't be long before a new set of reward cards is released, so I need to hurry up and evolve my current cards.
