Una taza dormía
y sus ronquidos bien se oían,
es una taza amarilla,
que en aquel lugar vivía,
sola y tranquila.
Entra por la puerta una cáscara,
una cobertura de coco parda,
viene fracturada,
solo una mitad mal cortada
y despierta con afán a la taza.
A cup was sleeping
and its snoring could be heard well,
it's a yellow cup,
who lived in that place,
alone and quiet.
A shell came through the door,
a brown coconut shell,
it comes fractured,
only one half badly cut
and eagerly awakens the cup.
A la taza esto no le agradó
su descanso sin motivo interrumpió,
la cáscara le habló con el corazón
y le pide colaboración,
para hallar la pulpa qué se le perdió.
La taza es buena compañera,
le dice que ayudará con lo que pueda,
que cierre los ojos y confíe en ella,
así lo hace la cáscara buena
y del interior de la taza algo se despliega.
The cup did not like this
its rest for no reason interrupted,
the shell spoke to him with its heart
and asks for collaboration,
to find the pulp that was lost.
The cup is a good companion,
it tells him that it will help with what it can,
to close his eyes and trust her,
so does the good shell
and from the inside of the cup something unfolds
Es una sustancia clara,
parece pulpa recién elaborada,
poco a poco sale de la taza,
sobre el suelo se lanza
y bajo el trozo de cáscara se guarda.
El coco abre sus ojos con anhelo,
quiere por fin estar completo
y sí, el trabajo está hecho,
la taza le regalo un complemento,
una pulpa de terso aspecto.
It is a clear substance,
it looks like freshly made pulp,
little by little it comes out of the cup,
it is thrown on the ground
and under the piece of shell it is kept.
The coconut opens its eyes with longing,
it finally wants to be complete
and yes, the job is done,
the cup gives it a complement,
a pulp of smooth aspect.
El trozo de coco feliz está,
se despide y se va,
la taza ahora podrá descansar
sin que nadie la venga a despertar,
su sueño nadie arruinará.
The happy piece of coconut is,
says goodbye and leaves,

without anyone coming to wake it up,
