As they say, we are in the hardest year of marriage, a seven-year itch, and we had a three-dollar meal to celebrate.

May 18 was a special day for us as it was our wedding anniversary. How time flies, and we are now in the seventh year. Many say it's the hardest year or seven-year itch that many broke up and chose to live in separate ways.

So, was my marriage on a rock? It's not, and I'm hoping it won't. Recently, I have always had that roller coaster emotion, which I don't know if it is even valid. I mean those feelings. Perhaps just a few episodes brought by previous pregnancy and boredom at home. Thus, I always pray and try my best to look at the brighter side of life , and this shall be passed.

To enlighten my mind, we attended a holy mass as part of our routine.

On our way to church, we saw these.

The local officials and facilitators are preparing for the yearly sibatan.

What is sibatan?

It's a yearly tradition in their husband's hometown where players ride a bicycle and need to get ribbons attached to the banana trunk using a dart, as you see in the above photo. Each ribbon had corresponding prizes depending on the sponsor.

There are a lot of participants, and yearly, my brother-in-law joins.

The bike's size, balance, and agility also matter.

We had just arrived from the church, and it was hot at past nine in the morning, but it didn't stop them.

This man already has several ribbons. We just stayed there to watch but went home after a while. Caleb is starting to get fussy as we both sweat.

I learned that my brother-in-law got several prizes—a hand fan, rice, cash, etc.

It's our anniversary; should we be celebrating?

My husband isn't here, so inviting the in-laws to come for snacks or dinner would be tiring. That means a lot of work for me. How can I do this while taking care of my little rascal?

However, treating them all dining outside would be expensive, so I decided to have a local pizza. Yes, just my son and me, lol!

We went out past five in the afternoon, and the sky was dark. Thinking it might rain anytime, I just carried him, which was at least a minute's walk!

Half on the way, I realized it was a wrong choice as I could feel the sweating running down my back 🤣. There are tricycles, but I was thinking, too, that this is a perfect exercise. The last time, I weighed 57kgs from 69kgs or more. (69 was my weight during the seven months, and I haven't checked after.)

It was just a small pizza house, but going to the nearest mall was tiring. Also, my last meal at one of Pizza's fast food chains wasn't delicious. So why not support local?

The menu but this caught my attention;

However, I am slightly bitter today, so I ordered the meaty one.

For $3, it was worth it and paired with cold soft drinks. That's perfect!

Cheesy and meaty That's how it tastes.

Of course, Caleb wanted a piece, but I didn't let him, so he was mad 🤣.
