Hello fellow hive gamers and hive enthusiasts!! Today, I'll drop some updates on our very own Astral Wars, brought to you by @surgentgaming. Believe me when I say it's one of the best card games I've played, especially here on hive. Here's a quick update on its development so far: We only had the solo mode at first, where you played against AI with starter decks, and multiplayer mode. Challenge mode was added next, and now, we have the ULTIMATE, blood-curdling, soul-crushing and absolutely glorious EXPLORATION MODE!!
Exploration mode consists of 125 stages with 4 levels of difficulty being:
a) Easy difficulty - No Conditions, No Battleship power, just a variety of decks.
b) Moderate difficulty - 1 Condition, Has normal Battleship power
c) Hard Difficulty - 2 Conditions, Has Normal Battleship Power
d) Impossible Difficulty - 3 Conditions, Has Normal Battleship power
Passing a stage unlocks subsequent stages in the map, where you choose which direction to go according to the level of difficulty you can face. Each day gives you 2 keys and each stage consumes a key. So you have to plan ahead to maximize stage completion and rewards earned.
Above are the various conditions you face starting from moderate difficulty. As you can imagine, these conditions drastically increase the difficulty of the stages.
I'm ashamed to say I lost to moderate Torvin about 5 times early into exploration. Had to create a counter deck till I finally beat him!!😤

Ah yes, the sweet taste of victory, after facing overwhelming odds!! Since then, I've been crushing other moderate stages. Next stop is a hard stage!!
