Hey friends!
I’m really excited and honored to be part of this amazing and supportive community. My name is Agina Chinedu Favour, and I proudly come from Nnewi, which is known as the second-largest commercial and industrial city in Anambra State, Nigeria. Nnewi is famous for being a strong automobile hub, not just in Nigeria but across Africa. It’s a city filled with hardworking people and a place I always feel proud to identify with.
I’m the first son in my family. We are four siblings—two boys and two girls. I live with my wonderful family in Lagos, specifically in Ipaye, off Bode Thomas, Surulere. Lagos is not just a city to me—it’s the center of entertainment, culture, and creativity in Nigeria. It has shaped a huge part of who I am today.
Growing up in my family has been both beautiful and challenging. Like every other family, we’ve had our highs and lows. It hasn’t always been easy for my parents to meet every need, but they’ve always given their best. There were moments when things got really tough, but we stayed together and kept pushing forward.
My mom has been such a strong pillar in my life. She made so many sacrifices to ensure my siblings and I felt loved and cared for. My dad also played his part, working hard to provide for the family and to make sure we grew up with the right values. Though he wasn’t always around due to work, I deeply appreciate everything he did and still does for us.
Growing up with a disability wasn't easy either. It came with its own set of struggles—physically, emotionally, and socially. Many times, I felt misunderstood, and it was hard to connect with people. But over time, I came to accept myself for who I am and embraced my uniqueness. I learned to use my voice, my talents, and my experience to make a difference—not just for myself but for others who may be going through similar challenges.

High school was a mixed experience for me. I had moments of happiness and moments of struggle. But I kept going because I believed in myself. Entering college brought a new wave of challenges. I had to work harder than ever to keep up and to prove to others that I was capable, despite the condition I was born with.
Some people didn’t understand me. I wasn’t very open or communicative, and that made it easy for others to judge or overlook me. I even faced hurtful words and actions from students and sometimes even teachers. But instead of letting it break me, I used it as fuel to grow stronger. I made a decision to never let people’s opinions stop me from reaching my goals.
With my faith in God, support from my family, and determination to make something great out of my life, I kept pushing. I reminded myself constantly that no matter the challenges, I am worthy of love, success, and happiness.
Now, I’m a Computer Science student, and I’m working hard to graduate soon. I chose this course because I love technology. I enjoy building things, learning how programs work, and being part of something innovative. There’s a special joy I feel when I create something with code—it’s like painting with logic.
Apart from academics, I have many passions. I love music, dancing, rapping, and writing. Music, to me, is healing. It helps me express myself in ways that words sometimes can’t. I could go on listening to music all day—it lifts me up and connects me with my inner self.
I also love to write. It helps me pour out my thoughts and share stories that can inspire and motivate others. Through writing, I feel confident and free. I use my words to connect with others, to spread love and hope, especially to those going through tough times.
I believe giving back to others is one of the most powerful things we can do in this life. I don’t need to have a lot before I give. Whether it’s giving my time, energy, skills, or simply showing kindness—I do it from the heart. You never know how much a small act of kindness can mean to someone.
I got to know about Hive through a friend of mine, @lareaiyela, who introduced me to an amazing mentor, @beauty197. She welcomed me into the SpendHBD Workshop, where I had my first proper experience on the platform.
In the workshop, I learned how Hive operates, how to open and fund my Hive wallet, and how to spend HBD while also earning through contributions. The workshop opened my eyes to many exciting possibilities. I even got to enjoy a fun shopping experience alongside @lareaiyela and @beauty197, and I’m super grateful for that.
It was more than just a learning session—it was a moment that showed me how powerful communities like Hive can be in changing lives and empowering individuals.

Now that I’m here, I’m fully ready to create original content, share my story, and grow with everyone in this space. I’m committed to contributing positively, supporting others, and learning something new every day. I’m passionate about motivating others, especially people with disabilities, to never give up on themselves or their dreams.
Thank you once again @beauty197 for this life-changing opportunity. I promise to use it well, and I look forward to making meaningful impacts here on Hive and in the world around me.
Let’s inspire each other, grow together, and make Hive a place where voices are heard and lives are transformed.
Much love to everyone reading this. One love always.
