Hello Splinter Fanatics!

Conclave Arcana has arrived and all players are trying to adapt to the new changes. With the departure of Chaos Legion, it's inevitable to feel a void in your collection when you're playing the Mordeno format. So the way out is to buy cards or rent them, and there are also players who buy Conclave Arcana packs to try their luck.

As I don't have enough financial resources, I'm trying to get by with the cards I have, as well as renting some cards to build up my collection. Before the arrival of Conclave Arcana I was already trying to prepare for the fact that CL was leaving. I bought some Summoners, which are now called Archons, when the prices were more affordable.

In my opinion, the best summoners today, in terms of value for money, are the common multi-element summoners. They offer excellent flexibility by allowing the use of two different Splinters, which is especially advantageous for those who still have a limited collection of cards. This versatility helps offset the disadvantages of not having a full deck, making for a more balanced gaming experience.

At the time, I ended up buying a tactical Archon from Splinter Fire, Nomos. I only bought it because I thought the price was quite low, but even so it's an Archon that I don't get to use much in battles because its tactical abilities aren't that good and its mana cost - generally, there are always better options.

Nomos isn't very popular among players, but he's very useful in battles where players are forced to use magic damage cards or in Brawl battles due to his tactical ability: reduce magic damage by (-2) or add the Dispel ability, both on any two monsters on the field.

In today's battle we're going to show Nomos in action. Since he's a rare Archon, you'll rarely see him on the battlefield 😂. In the following battle he was chosen, because in my collection he was the best option for the rulesets present and for the Splinter available.

The battle had only 17 mana, and only the fire and dagger Splinters were available. The battle conditions (rulesets) added even more challenge and required careful strategy:

• Wands Out: Only magic damage monsters can be climbed.

• Unprotected: Armor does not exist.

• Explosive Weaponry: All monsters have the Blast ability.

This is a very tricky battle due to the low choice of Archons and monsters, as there is very little mana in play. In addition, the ruleset that adds the blast ability causes monsters to take a lot of damage. Therefore, it's ideal to choose monsters with the ability Reflection Shield (which is not my case), monsters with a lot of health and high speed, after all, whoever shoots first wins.

In these conditions, I chose Archon Nomos, because it would have the option of reducing the opponent's magic damage by (-2) from two cards, due to its tactical abilities. My opponent (Splinterlands bot) chose Splinter fire, with Archon Fithe Bladestone. Bots in Mordeno? Yes, that's what you're reading, but they're bots from the Splinterlands team itself and are used to speed up the wait for battle and make life more difficult for the players, as these bots have all the ghost cards and can use them freely, choosing the most appropriate ones for the situation.

The problem with these bots is that I can hardly beat them, because they always have ghost cards at maximum level. So the average player has a broken deck full of low-level cards mixed with high-level cards, and it's often impossible to beat these damned bots. Sorry to vent, but it's necessary!

You can check out this bot's account here and see that it has no cards to play in the modern format. There are plenty of them, but the nice thing is that they don't dry up the SPS pool.

But enough of this and let's get down to business.

On the tactical screen you can see the line-up of both players. The bot's Archon grants the Void ability to the monster of the same lineage, which in this case is Dwarf. So the first monster has the Void ability, to reduce magic damage by (-1). In addition, this same monster has the Silence ability, which reduces my monster's damage by (-1).

All the opponent's monsters have (2) magic damage, so I used the tactical abilities of Nomos, to reduce it by (-2), in this case the minimum damage is (1). Even though I don't have any cards with the Void ability, I have a monster with (3) damage and a lot of health, which I left in the last position.

Even when all seemed lost, the game turned after Infernal Firestorm defeated the enemy monster in first position, meaning that the Silence skill and the damage reduction due to the Void skill were removed. Thus ensuring our victory!

Olá Splinter Fanáticos!

Conclave Arcana chegou e todos os jogadores estão tentando se adaptar as novas mudanças. Com a saída do Caos Legion é inevitável sentir um vazio na coleção, quando se está jogando no formato Mordeno. Então, a saída é comprar cartas ou alugá-las, há ainda jogadores que compram packs Conclave Arcana para tentar a sorte.

Como não tenho recursos financeiro suficiente eu estou tentando me virar com as cartas que possuo, além é claro de alugar algumas cartas para compor minha coleção. Antes da chegada do Conclave Arcana eu já estava tentando me preparar para o fato da saída do CL. Comprei alguns Invocadores que atualmente são chamados de Archons, quando os preços estavam mais acessíveis.

Na minha opinião, os melhores invocadores atualmente, em termos de custo-benefício, são os invocadores comuns multi-elemento. Eles oferecem uma excelente flexibilidade ao permitir o uso de dois Splinters diferentes, o que é especialmente vantajoso para quem ainda tem uma coleção limitada de cartas. Essa versatilidade ajuda a compensar as desvantagens de não ter um baralho completo, tornando a experiência de jogo mais equilibrada.

Na epoca eu acabei comprando um Archon tático do Splinter fogo, Nomos. Somente comprei porque achei o preço bastante baixo, mas mesmo assim é um Archon que eu não consigo utilizar muito em batalhas devido sua habilidades táticas não serem tão boas e ao seu custo de mana, geralmente, há sempre opções melhores.

Nomos não é muito querido entre os jogados, mas é bastante útil em batalhas onde os jogadores são forçados a utilizar cartas de dano mágico ou nas batalhas do Brawl devido as suas habilidade táticas: reduzir em (-2) em dano mágico ou adcional a habilidade Dispel, ambos em dois monstros quaisquer do campo.

Na batalha de hoje vamos mostrar Nomos em ação. Como ele é um Archon raro ramente verá ele no campo de batalha 😂. Na batalha a seguir ele foi escolhi, porque na minha coleção era a melhor opção para os rulesets presentes e para os Splinter disponíveis.

A batalha contou com apenas 17 de mana, e estavam disponíveis somente os Splinters fogo e dagrão. As condições de batalha (rulesets) adicionaram ainda mais desafio e exigiram uma estratégia cuidadosa:

• Wands Out: Somente monstros de dano mágico podem ser escalados.

• Unprotected: Armadura não existem.

• Explosive Weaponry: Todos os monstros possuem a habilidade Blast.

Essa é uma batalha bastante complicado devido as baixas opções de escolhas, tanto de Archons quanto de monstros, pois há pouquissima mana em jogo. Além disso, o ruleset que adciona a habilidade blast faz com que monstros sejam muito danificados. Dessa forma, é ideal escolher monstros com a habilidade Reflection Shield (que não é o meu caso), monstro com bastante saúde e com alta velocidade, afinal quem atira primeiro ganha.

Nessa condições eu escolhi o Archon Nomos, pois teria a opção de reduzir em (-2) o dano mágico do oponente de duas cartas, devido as suas habilidades táticas. Meu oponente (bot de Splinterlands) escolheu o Splinter fogo, com o Archon Fithe Bladestone. Bots no Mordeno? Sim isso mesmo que você está lendo, mas ele são bots da própria equipe de Splinterlands e são utilizados para dar mais velocidade na espera de batalha e dificultar a vida dos jogadores, pois esses bots possuem todas as cartas fantasmas e podem utilizar livremente elas, escolhendo as mais adequadras para a situação.

O problema desses bots é que dificilmente os venço, pois eles sempre possuem cartas fantasmas em nível máximo. Então, o jogador mediano possui um baralho quebrado cheio de cartas de nível baixo misturado com cartas de nível alto, sendo na maioria das vezes impossível de ganhar desse bots malditos. Desculpa o desabafo, mas ele é necessário!

Você pode conferir a conta desse bot aqui e verificar que ele não possui cartas para jogar no formato moderno. Há inúemros deles, mas o lado legal é que eles não secam a pool de SPS.

Mas, chega de delongas e vamos para o que interessa.

Na tela tática é possível ver a escalação de ambos os jogadores. O Archon do bot concede a habilidade Void ao monstro de mesma linhagem, que no caso aqui é Dwarf. Então, o primeiro monstro possui a habilidade Void, para reduzir o dano mágino em (-1). Além disso, esse mesmo monstro possui a habilidade Silence que reduz o dano dos meus monstro em (-1)

Todos os monstros do oponente possuem (2) de dano mágico, então usei as habilidades táticas de Nomos, para reduzir em (-2), no caso aqui o dano mínimo fica em (1). Mesmo não possui cartas com a habilidade Void eu possui um monstro com dano (3) e muita saúde, que deixei na última posição.

Mesmo quando tudo parecia perdido, o jogo virou depois que Infernal Firestorm derrotou o monstro inimigo na primeira posição, ou seja, foi retirado a habilidade Silence e a redução de dano devido a habilidade Void. Assim garantido a nossa vitória!
