Hello Hive ❤️

We tried uploading our video to 3Speak, but the nodes are down due to a major storm. We can’t wait any longer and need to publish this article ASAP. If you’d like to watch the podcast, you can view it on YouTube.

Hey there, #hive community and podcast fans! Welcome to CBRS Podcast #31. We had a blast this week, diving into all Hive things, cracking jokes, and even planning a delicious cultural festival. Here’s a rundown of what we talked about, filled with laughs, updates, and some exciting ideas for the Hive blockchain. Let’s get started!

Kicking Off with Laughter and Friendship

We kicked off #podcast #31 with our usual energy, joking about how we’re “rolling out podcasts every week like it’s Christmas!” The weather was chilly but dry—perfect for us in the Netherlands, where it can feel like “one day in Holland, next day in Poland” (a nod to those sneaky Dutch bicycles!).

One of our favorite moments was a cheesy but heartfelt joke about the most valuable “ship” in the world. Spoiler: it’s not a gold or diamond ship—it’s friendship! We laughed about how friends help each other out, like when one of us broke a glass and the community jumped in to fix it. It’s all about that Hive spirit of supporting one another.

Vibes on Da Place: Let’s Get Those Votes!

We jumped into the latest updates on The Dapp List, a platform where Hive projects compete for visibility. Last week, we rallied behind the #vibes community, which supports musicians on Hive. So far, Vibes has 92 votes—not bad, but we’re a bit concerned. We usualy see so many pol votes when it comes to voting on the winner, sometimes even 400 pol votes. Where is everyone?

We called out to the Hive musicians who’ve benefited from Vibes’ support: come on, folks, return the love! Voting for Vibes on #thedapplist is a small way to say thanks, and guess what? You get rewarded for it too. We also suggested that singers asking for song votes should encourage their supporters to vote for Vibes. It’s a win-win to boost Hive’s visibility and attract new users. Let’s make those votes count!

Next week, we’re shifting gears to support @threespeak, a big deal for Hive’s video creators. #3speak is making waves, with recent Twitter Spaces chats highlighting their work (shoutout to @starkerz for spilling the tea!). We reminded everyone to chill if they spot bugs—3Speak is cooking something behind the scenes, and they’ll announce updates when they’re ready. Stay tuned for the 3Speak post on Friday.

Hive-Echo Week 17: Sharing Hive on Web2

Next up, we dove into @Hive-Echo Week 17, the initiative to promote Hive on Web2 platforms like X, Instagram, and YouTube. We’re all about spreading the word, but we need your help to do it right.

We noticed some folks are posting outdated or unclear statistics when sharing their Web2 posts. To make curation easier, we’re planning a video tutorial to show exactly how to present stats from X, Instagram, and YouTube—whether you’re using a phone or laptop, verified account or not. We’ll cover how to switch to a business profile for better insights and make it super simple. Our goal? A universal way to share stats so everyone’s on the same page, and no one’s left out of the reward pool.

We also announced the winners of Hive-Echo Week 16: @offia66 and @ibbtammy, each snagging 25 HIVE! Big congrats! A special shoutout went to @finpulse, who posted about Hive’s insane 56.25% APR on Binance, earning 3,500 views after Hive reposted it. That’s the power of Hive-Echo—small posts can go big! We encouraged everyone to get creative, maybe using AI-generated images like @lordbutterfly, to make Hive stand out.

GOSH: Boosting Hive with GoShare

We got super excited about GOSH (short for GoShare), a revived project to amplify important Hive-related posts on Web2. Here’s how it works: post a snap on PeakD in Hive Posh Communty with the hashtag #gosh, followed by a link to a Web2 post you want to boost (like on X, BlueSky, or Reddit). Others can like, repost, and comment on that link, then share a screenshot on your snap as proof. The #posh team curates these snaps and rewards the best ones.

Read more here:

For example, @acidyo shared a snap with a #gosh tag and a link to an X post. By engaging with it and posting proof, you could earn rewards. It’s a simple but effective way to get more eyes on Hive.

Splinterlands Pack Opening and MarkyMark’s Challenge

We relived the thrill of our recent @Splinterlands pack opening, where we scored a rare black foil card! It was pure excitement—no acting needed. Since the card isn’t super useful for high-level gameplay or our current land setup, we decided to sell it and buy more packs for another opening. Fingers crossed for more epic pulls!

We also discussed a fascinating article by @themarkymark, who asked if it’s possible to burn $1,000 worth of HIVE on a single post. It’s a tough one! Posts with over 1,500 upvotes like MarkyMark’s hit a weird restriction where you can’t upvote anymore, and some votes even get kicked out. Is it a bug or intentional? We’re stumped but curious—drop a comment if you know what’s up!

Nifty’s HBD Payment and Crypto Regulations

We gave a nod to @l337m45732 Nifty, who paid for food at "Steak ‘n Shake" with HBD via #bitcoin Lightning, just like we did at a café in The Hague. It’s awesome to see Hive’s stablecoin in action! However, we noted that new crypto regulations are coming in May 2025, starting with Lithuania’s government. This could impact platforms like Binance, especially in stricter EU countries. We’re keeping an eye on how this unfolds.

Cold Beetroot Soup Festival: May 31st

Get ready for the Cold Beetroot Soup #festival on May 31st! Also called the Pink Soup Festival, it’s a big deal in Lithuania and Latvia, celebrating this refreshing summer dish. We’re working with the Lithuanian Embassy to host a small party in the Netherlands for 50 people, complete with quizzes, banners, and prizes. We’ll share videos from both the Dutch event and the massive festival in Vilnius.

More info about the Pink Soup Fest: https://www.govilnius.lt/pink-soup-fest

We invited everyone to join the fun and make cold beetroot soup, snap a pic or video, and tag us on Hive with #coldbeetrootsoup. Add your own twist, like Spanish shrimp or German sausage, to make it unique. We’ll 100% upvote your posts! Check our videos or Google for recipes, and let’s celebrate this cultural gem together.

Canva on Hive and Community Shoutouts

We’re buzzing about a new Canva-like tool coming to Hive, created by some awesome folks at @hivecreators. Imagine designing posts right on the blockchain—no need for centralized apps! This is another step toward making Hive an #all-in-one ecosystem for creators.

We also gave shoutouts to @desic.creative for a killer @thedistriator infographic and HiveHumpdayHangout #hhhlive for their weekly Wednesday hangouts on the @Ecency Discord. Join them to chat abount anything with a friendly crew!
