Para mí, que he tenido la oportunidad de probarlas en la colonia Tovar, en Mérida, en Caracas y muchos otros lugares, no dejo de pensar que las mejores que he probado hasta ahora son las de Caripe, pero no cualquier sitio en Caripe, sino las originales del señor Walter y su familia.

Consiguió refugio en el pueblo hermoso de Caripe, y con su particular receta que es secreto exclusivo de esa familia y que por generaciones han sabido replicar a la perfección para mantener el negocio a flote, ha enamorado a todos los que conocemos este lugar.

Muchos han querido imitarlo, de hecho hoy en día son varios los negocios que ofrecen fresas con crema por todo Caripe, pero ninguno como este, se los digo con bases porque hace unos años, cuando la situación del país estuvo en su peor momento, ellos tuvieron que cerrar sus puertas, pues no conseguían todos los productos para realizar su maravillosa crema, y en ese entonces me toco probar las fresas con crema otros lugares, nada malos, pero ninguno como el de ellos.

En mi última visita a Caripe tuve la oportunidad de enterarme de que estaban nuevamente abiertos, no saben que alegría me dio y sin dudarlo ni un segundo nos bajamos a deleitarnos con su sabor. Yo quería pedir una porción grande, pero ese día solo estaban ofreciendo de la más pequeña, así que pedí dos vasitos, vasitos que siempre decoran con una fresa por encima. A mí ese día al ver que estaba tan emocionada de estar allí y disfrutarlas, el chico que atendía me hizo la cortesía de colocarle no una, sino tres fresas más a mi último vasito. I wanted to order a large portion, but that day they were only offering the smaller one, so I asked for two small cups, cups that they always decorate with a strawberry on top. That day, seeing how excited I was to be there and enjoy them, the guy serving me did me the courtesy of adding not one, but three more strawberries to my last cup. I was more than delighted.
