About Technological Hegemony

Hey everyone. How is your country’s technology and industry faring? I'm asking this because if you actually look around then in most of the world's biggest technologies and the difference making industries are mostly from America and then you can find counterparts of them in China. But if you take away these two countries, what do you find? You barely find anything. Yes, there are some very notable companies across the globe but they are as they are scattered and there is no big cluster like America and China anywhere else. Joy, what I want to say is how come these two countries have all the brilliant minds who actually do that? Like suppose the first transistors and the computers and then the micro processors. These are very very technical stuff which require a very high degree of intellect and somehow there's only one country who can make them? And nobody else could figure them out?

Well, apart from the regulatory stuff that holds other countries back from certain technologies in today's world, it is important to realize that during the infancy of these technologies, things weren't so regulated. The fact that somehow Americans made the biggest social media platforms and they have the biggest search engine companies and one of the two biggest smartphone businesses and both of the microprocessor companies and all three of the GPU manufacturers is quite the thing. So how did we come to this? And how did America ensure this? Well first of all it's the American laws. The American laws are very friendly towards education towards start-up businesses towards risky investments and most importantly towards anyone of any race given he is a genius. If you go online and search about the H-1B Visa then you will know what I am talking about. The H-1B visa is for those people who have proved exceptional merit and ability in different services or sectors, regardless of it being solely technology. Although it's temp whatever, it is only for those who are employed by a US company in a high-ranked position or something very technical and requires an increased amount of skill. In other words, you can't go and work from McDonald's and expect it to be an H-1B Visa. It comes with its own merits. It is a very easy way to permit residency inside the states which is already a bombing economy. Thanks to them being the figurehead of the free world economy in the world. So people across the globe who are exceptionally talented and meritorious in different countries are tempted to go to America and apply their expertise there because America actually values these talented people more than many countries around the globe because they always keep some aspects in priority, unlike other countries. Yes, corruption is always there and everywhere and amid all those if you can really keep the focus on some important places and at least those places going the best in its class.

And this is how America actually got ahead. Those friendly laws towards expiration and invention and these friendly laws to make these talented people welcome. But the tides are changing and these people are returning to their own countries and making a difference there. And countries around the globe are also realizing what they have been missing out on all these years. The decentralization of technology is probably evident.
